Comfort and durability are what the Fox Defend Short is all about with a robust TruMotion 4-way stretch poly blend fabric. Perfect for those riders who love to shred hard. Not only that but it is laser perforated on the front and back to keep you cool.

Who's this item for? Perfect for gravity focussed riders looking for durable shorts that are cut below the knees.

Inseam Measurement: The Fox Defender's use a 14.5-inch inseam which will have the shorts cut below the knees for most people.

Liner Included: There is no liner in the Defend shorts.

Materials: Made from a TruMotion all-way stretch fabric for increased mobility. 93% polyester / 7% elastane. They also feature a Durable Water Repellent finish to shed moisture, dirt and debris.

Pockets Position and Quantity: 2 zippered front hand pockets

Waist Closure System / Fly / Size Adjusters: A ratchet closure provides a secure fit & quick on-the-fly adjustments

Pros: Great combination of durability and comfort.The ratchet closure is probably one of the best systems out there.

Cons: These shorts are fairly long so they may not be the best choice for XC racers or those looking for a super lightweight short.

    True to size

    I ordered the 38, thinking they would be small, and the 38 has to be cinched up completely to stay up. I wen to my lbs and tried the 36(im normally a 36), and they fit well. Good closure system, clip closure pockets and no velco to come undone, or buttons to pop open. They are slim but not tight on my legs, but I don't ride with anything in my pockets normally.

    Weird sizing

    These shorts seem a weird size I have 32 in Fox flexair and they fit great but 32 in the defend fits my waist but is too tight round the hips - and I'm skinny, tried 34s but are really baggy so not bothering. They look great but fit me really badly hope you have better luck.
