Keep your bike looking fresh with the Cleanskin Clearskin Frame Protection Kit. Available in both transparent and textured designs, these kits will give your ride the protection it deserves with 24 different pieces that can be applied to protect key areas of your frame against damage. With pieces to suit the down tube, chain stays, seat stays, seat tube, head tube, top tube, and cable rub points.

Who's this item for: Anyone rider that wants to protect their frame from scratches and nicks.

Application: Very easy to install, just make sure the area is clean and free from grease/oil. Ideally clean with some isopropyl and allow it to dry. Peel off the backing and apply it to your frame. It is also shapeable with heat so using a hairdryer or heat gun at a safe distance works well on difficult curves. If required it is easy to cut to size.

Removal: It is advised that when you wish to remove the film from the bike that you safely use a hairdryer/heat gun to ensure a clean removal with no residue left on the frame.

Materials: Automotive-grade material that won't yellow over time with a 3M adhesive

    Ok product

    Was disappointed I hadn’t read that the stickers had a textured finish. Also they didn’t really fit my e-bike so well. Ok though for manual bike.

    Does the job

    Not the best and not the worst. Does the job at protecting your bike. Film is a bit thick and you’re limited by whatever is cut in the sleeve. I have it in all my bikes; install is easy and they stay on.

    5,Stars for sure!

    Been paying hundreds for a certain well known Protection kit over the years when buying a new ride and have to acknowledge how awesome these super low priced Cleanskin kits are in comparison. Everything you need re the frame decals. Super easy to apply and can still be customised to suit. More than enough coverage for a frames main impact and general wear n scratch points. Have to also give a huge shout out to the crew at MTb Direct. All round A1 great service and communication, support second to none!

    Ok but not great

    The good - this product is thick, official 3M material that will provide good protection to a fair amount of the frame (size L). The small sections are easy to apply and nearly invisible, particularly on fairly flat surface areas. Better than Lizard Skin.

    The not so good - Like the other reviews, this is really a one chance product. Yes you can peel it off and move it, but you’ll find imperfections in the adhesive afterwards. Even with care, it won’t go out completely clean in longer sections of tape. After just a couple of weeks there are some areas where the tape is starting to peel/come away.

    After trying both Lizard Skin and this product I’d have to think the wet application products are likely to be better. Neither are a viable, clean long term solution.
