Hub:
  • Materials - aluminium hub sheel
  • Spoke count - 32 spokes
  • Convertibility - Convertible between boost and standard with a new hub axle
  • Bearings - Four, high quality, 6902 sealed bearings
  • Rotor - 6 bolt brake rotor standard
  • Pawls - 4 pawls, for 28 connections
  • Weight - 274g

Rim:
  • Material - aluminium, pinned joint
  • Tubeless - tubeless ready construction
  • Rim dimensions - 27mm inner width, 20mm depth, 32.2mm outer width
  • Recommended tyre width - 2.3" - 2.5"

Pros: Tough, low cost, great wheel.

Cons: Reasonably heavy.

    ALEX MD-27 NOVATEC REAR WHEEL

    3 day delivery. Arrived undamaged.

    Emergency E-bike wheel replacement.

    Runs nice and true. Does the job.

    Cassette and rotor fitted without drama.

    Running tubed Schwalbe Super Moto E50 2.4"

    Tyre, tube and Tannus Armour fitted easily.

    Better ride noted with wider rim @30psi

    It was the best price around with availability that matched my reqd specs. It was replacing a novatec/Alex wheel (5mm narrower rim)

    I didn't even have to adjust rear derailleur limit screws.
