The Troy Lee Designs D3 Fiberlite Helmet is a more budget friendly fiberglass option compared to the carbon version. But don't let the price point fool you, this helmet takes a lot of the features and technology from it's more expensive sibling.

Keeping your head nice and cool is taken care of with 20 intake ports and 6 vents. The padded liner is removable so keeping this helmet fresh will be easy as and TLD have fitted some specially-sized contoured checkpads to ensure a spot on fit. You even get a TLD drawstring helmet sock to keep this baby in!

Who's this item for: This helmet is built for winning DH races, but would be great for shuttle days at the bike park or free ride as well.

Construction: This is a lightweight fiberglass helmet. It features wind tunnel-tested aerodynamics for minimal resistance. The added EPS liner gives it better impact resistance to keep you safe.

Rotational liner: There is no rotational liner in this helmet.

Straps: Features a stainless steel D-link closure for exceptional reliability and security.

Ventilation: Like the more expensive Carbon option it has 20 intake vents and 6 exhaust ports. Deep channelling in the EPS liner provides optimal airflow to make sure you stay as cool as possible.

Padding: It has anatomically contoured quick release 3D cheek pads that provide a snug fit, but can be removed easily in the event of a crash. The padded liner is removable and washable (so no more stinky helmet).

Weight: Weighs approximately 1225gms.

Pros: It features much of the same technology as the more expensive versions and even has internal cavities for audio integration.

Cons: It does not feature a rotational liner.

TLD fibrelight bought online no dramas

Half the price of the pro competition down hill helmet but has similar properties it’s not carbon but still a super light helmet which is ideal for weekend rides down trails with jumps
Thought better safe then sorry and it’s very comfy anyways Gr8 DH full face at reasonable price..

Best D3 yet

Absolutely love the new fiberlite. After a big get off cracking my last D3 (along with a collarbone and 3 ribs) another Troy lee lid was the obvious choice to replace it. The colour is awesome and quality is as good as the carbon ones I've had. Would definitely recommend this lid for anybody wanting a quality helmet at a budget price
