Hi there, i installed the rotor as an upgrade from a 160mm to my giant comp 29 however, the brakes lost power. the lever was very spongie and pulled all the way back to the grip without stopping me.. even at low speed there is no problem with the products i purchased. they just dont seem to work with my slx set up. i reinstalled the stock rotor. the product is currently not being used

After buying this I was a little perplexed as it did not seem to embed itself in the wall . I then realised that although being made from high quality steel in Japan that this was not a shuriken. When installed as a brake rotor and I used the lever thing on my bikes handlebars it seemed to stop the bike adequately and with little fuss I threw myself over the handlebars after upgrading from 6 rotors. I am now too scared to use my bike because of the increased stopping power. But my friend Troy Brosnan rode my bike with Sam Hill and John Tomac the other day, and while they were doing double front flips they said the brakes were feeling great, so there you go.

First thing I do when buying a new bike is fit Shimano XT Deores brakes and a 203mm rotor/adapter. Great bite, great feel. No fade, no burnt rotors. Just great braking!
