Description

Lightweight, high performance and mid-priced XC race shoe from Shimano.

Who's this for:  Women looking for an insanely stiff shoe for maximum power transfer.

Pedal interface:  Designed for small XC style cleat pedals with minimal platform, but will comfortably fit trail style caged cleat pedals also.

Closure:  This use a combination of the excellent conforming nature of a BOA L6 dial and lacing, with a velcro closure at the toe for fine tuning the fit.

Upper materials:  Mesh/TPU/synthetic leather upper provides great durability, breathability, and longevity.

Sole materials:  Glass fiber reinforced midsole for excellent power transfer.  Shimano exclusive Michelin rubber tread with 18mm removable spikes for traction off the bike.

Weight:  298g

Sizing guide:  These us Shimano's DYNALAST fitting guide which is a 'standard' fit with a womens specific last.

Pros:  Super light and stiff.

Cons:  Won't work on pedals with a large platform.  Not good for much more than XC duties.

Light, stiff and lots of room for your toes

by

Like Cinderella crossed with Goldilocks, it has taken me a few turns to find mtb shoes that fit my foot and my wallet.
I had done some reading on the shimano mtb shoe range and after I felt confident ( via reading reviews) that my toes wouldn’t get pinched, I thought I would give these a go.
I have to say I was ready to expect some kind of weird fitting feeling somewhere, but... these shoes have exceeded my expectation and set a bar for what good mtb shoes feel like. They are super light and super stiff. It’s is the nimbleness of the shoes, so light. I am a fan of the boa system, super early to tighten and loosen off. The colour keeps getting compliments too, like a lot of people have been making comments. Oh yeah and if you haven’t noticed the price is on point .
