Description

The Shimano AM-702 SPD shoes are versatile Downhill or Enduro shoes that offer exceptional pedalling performance. With a robust toe cap and raised asymmetrical ankle collar, they offer plenty of protection while out on the trail. The sole is made from a Shimano's "Original Compound" that offers maximum grip and better durability. The Pedal channel offers stable shoe to platform grip when not clipped in.

Who's It For: Perfect for DH or Enduro riders looking for a protective SPD pedal.

Pedal Interface: These are clip-in shoes that are compatible with any brand of MTB clipless pedal.

Closure: Standard lace-up closure with an additional hook and loop safety strap.

Upper Materials: The upper is made from Mesh and TPU material which absorbs less water and dries quickly. This means better comfort for you and less stinky shoes.

Sole Materials: Made from Shimano's original rubber compound with EVA.

Sole Type: Features a full tread sole, with extra grip in the toe and heel.

Weight: 405g for a size 42.

Sizing Guide: Shimano fit pretty true to US sizes.
Last/Width type: The AM 702's feature Shimano's volume tour last which provides extra volume at the toe and across the ball of the foot for better comfort. They are equivalent to a 2E width.

Pros: Good level of protection and breathe well.

Cons: Might be a bit much shoe for longer XC or Trail type riding.

Shimano does-it-all SPD shoe

by

Comfort, class and durability. Everything I want in a mountain bike shoe and more! This shoe is perfect for all variants of mountain bike riding. Very happy

Awesome shoe, just be wary pulling laces tight....

Mostly great shoes! got size UK45 and I have a wide foot and fits perfectly. Really stiff and stable when riding, i run the cleats almost at the rear most setting and pedals really well. Heel slips a little at the back when walking. Only thing i'd point out is don't pull the laces tight like you do any normal pair of shoes, I pulled my laces tight first ride and the lace cut through the last/top eyelet and up through the shoe. logged a warranty claim, Tim and the team in warranty sorted it out with Shimano straight away, really happy with the service!
