Description

The Shimano Deore CN-M6100 is a directional 12-speed chain that is optimised to work with Shimano's Hyperglide+ and Dynamic Chain technology. The new design includes extended inner link plates which increase surface area contact between the cassette and chainring. This results in better chain retention and smoother pedalling performance over choppy terrain.

Who's this item for: This chain is recommended for use with the Deore M6100 drivetrain but it's a great choice for anyone that running a Shimano 12 speed setup and needs to replace their chain.

Number of gears: 12 speed

Number of links: 126

Weight: 252g

Quick joining link: Yes, a quick link is included with this chain.

Materials / construction: Steel links with solid pins.

Other component compatibility: Compatible with Shimano 12 speed drivetrains.

Pros: A quality chain that is an affordable replacement for anyone running a Shimano 12 speed drivetrain.

Cons: Doesn't have the same surface treatment as Shimano's higher-end chains so it might not last quite as long (but it's a whole lot more affordable), solid pins have a slight weight penalty compared to hollow pin chains.
