Super light, rollable, and stashable pads with a hardshell outer bonded to a knit sock. The Seven 7 iDP Project Lite Knee Pads are perfect for providing extra protection on pedal-heavy Trail and XC rides.

The Proknit fabric is lightweight and breathable and features different stretch zones to help distribute pressure while providing a secure fit. Like most of the Seven pads, the upper cuff extends quite far up the thigh and features silicone grippers on the cuffs to hold them in place.

These pads won't hold you back on the way up and the CE certified protection will inspire confidence on the way back down.

Who's this item for: The pads would be a great choice for XC and Trail riders looking for a bit of extra protection and for days with lots of climbing where you want to be able to open it up a bit on the way back down.

Protection Style: These pads combine a visco-elastic protective insert with a bonded external shell to provide you with comfortable protection that will resist getting hung up or twisting out of place when you crash.

Materials: The exact recipe isn't listed anywhere by Seven but the ProKnit fabric has some Spandex material in it but has a knitted appearance. Both the upper and lower cuffs have silicon grippers, as does the logo print.

Closure or Slip-on: These are slip-on pads with a compression fit. It's critical to get the sizing right with these so you might need to try on a couple of different sizes to find the perfect fit.

Length of knee pad: Quite long—the pads extend a fair way up the thigh and come down to about mid-shin. There won't be any gap between your pads and your shorts (unless you ride in footy shorts...) and a small gap above the top of your socks.

Weight: 285g (size XL)

Protection level: The pads are certified beyond CE EN 1621-1:2012 Level 1 protection and will protect against abrasions and light impacts.

Removable protective inserts for washing: No.

Pros: Lightweight, pedal-friendly.

Cons: Might be a bit too minimalist for larger impacts and pointy rocks..

Note: Please take care to not pull the knee pads up your leg from the top of the pads as you would a pair of socks. The material is not designed for this and may cause tears. Damage to the knee pads of this nature may not be covered by the manufacturer warranty. We recommend pulling up knee pads from the top and bottom of the pad with care, in a way that avoids stretching the mesh or damaging the stitching.
