Description

Steve Peat's favourite knee pad! The Seven 7 iDP Flex Knee Pads use a combination of an internal plastic cap with a heat moulding foam insert with a pre-curved fit for the ultimate combination of comfort and performance. An upper and lower strap with a centre adjust system (two sides to adjust on each strap) allows for even fit with plenty of potential to dial things in to your liking. The lower strap also sits right above the calf muscle to help prevent them from ending up around your ankles when you crash.

Who's this item for: These are a DH worthy pad that are light enough to wear all day so they'll also be a good option for Enduro racing.

Protection Style: A visco-elastic foam insert and an internal plastic cap topped off with a hard-wearing fabric.

Materials: Custom iDP polygon neoprene and double layer perforated custom foam. Other secret ingredients that aren't listed by Seven.

Closure or Slip-on: These are a slip-on pad with an upper and lower strap to finetune the fit

Length of knee pad: These pads don't extend as high up the thigh as Seven's other offerings and they cover a couple of inches above and below the knee.

Protection level: Tested beyond CE EN 1621-1:2012 Level 1 for moderate protection against abrasions and impact.

Removable protective inserts for washing: No.

Pros: Inner plastic shell will provide good protection against pointy rocks. Upper and lower straps with centre adjust system to help you obtain the perfect fit.

Cons: Not quite as pedal-friendly as Seven's other offerings.

Note: Please take care to not pull the knee pads up your leg from the top of the pads as you would a pair of socks. The material is not designed for this and may cause tears. Damage to the knee pads of this nature may not be covered by the manufacturer warranty. We recommend pulling up knee pads from the top and bottom of the pad with care, in a way that avoids stretching the mesh or damaging the stitching.

Best knee pads I've owned so far!!

If you're looking for pads with a hard knee plate like a Fox D30, but want something a bit lighter to pedal all day in, I would highly recommend giving these a go.

Build quality is great, the design is very well thought out, and they don't fall down at all.
