Perfect for trail and all-mountain use!

The Schwalbe Nobby Nic has been the go to tyre for riders around the world.  With widely spaced centre knobs and supportive side knobs, the Nobby Nic offers great traction without sacrificing too much rolling resistance.  This makes the tyre suitable for a wide range of trails and conditions!

We stock the SnakeSkin sidewall which keeps weight down while still offering good protection.

Availalble now in the SpeedGrip Addix Compound.

Speed Grip (Blue Stripe) - Designed as a universal compound, Speedgrip is perfect for XC, Trail and All Mountain. SpeedGrip splits the line between offering good grip with great durability. Overall, SpeedGrip offers better grip, durability, and damping than it's its predecessor - Pace Star.

2.6" only recommended on 30mm rims or wider.

2.8" only recommended on 35mm rims or wider.

A great all round tyre, the Nobby Nic can be used Front or Rear. For an aggressive XC Setup - You can run the Nobby Nic up front, with a Racing Ralph 2 at the back. Or it works great as a Trail set up on the rear with a Hans Dampf up front.

I have various versions - reliable - easier to shed mud than Hans Dampf

by

I have several of the SpeedGrip compound with either Snake Skin or Super Trail casing. Set up as rear for both bikes.

They are great for trail and enduro riding. And more durable than the older models. Shed mud much better than the Hans Dampf.

One of them however was damaged by son's casing on a jump. Rim bend and the tyre has a tiny tear on edge which can be sealed by sealant as it's just under neath the rim. Unlucky. But, I believe if you get the Super Gravity or Downhill casing, this should not happen.

weak side nobs,

These tyres are great....for 2 months. Then i tore side nobs off the rear wheel riding some berms during a skills session. I'm not an aggressive rider. rest of the tyre looks brand new. Shame as they have a good balance of rolling resistance vs grip on a 29 x 2.35 front and rear. Front tyre is still going strong.

Pretty but short lived as a cheap firework

Side knobs come off quite soon even after non-aggressive trail riding. Not suited to hardpack or rocky conditions.

Leaks sealant, in my case Stans.

Good grip.

Schwalbe Nobby Nics Quality Continues Despite Name Change & Coloured Stripe.

Always concerned when there is a change in my usual tyre choice whether it's a name change, pace star/trail star, addix speedgrip or coloured lines to represent compounds or recommended use. Prior to that a "new & improved"change in profile. I suspect most of it's advertising as I've found these NN Speedgrips (front & back) to be just as reliable on trails & dead ezy to put on tubeless rims as the other NN's. Pricing has increased along with the Addix & coloured lines but hopefully will settle a bit in future.

Have had nobby nics before,

Have had nobby nics before, use them as a rear tyre with hans dampf up front. Good grip, good rolling too. Biggest problem with these tyres are they are thin skinned. After some use they bleed sealant from multiple small holes in the casing. Sealant stops the air but use sealant very quickly. Small quibble but the hans dampf doesn't leak like this

Happy with the first couple of rides. Getting the right pressure in these makes a big difference. Tire cut beyond repair on the third ride on my regular trails where I seldom have tire trouble, so disappointed. I've had durability issues with schwalbe before, but hopefully just an isolated incident & so have ordered another.
