Description

When you're out on extended biking adventures you need a way to keep your gear conveniently stored and easy to access without it getting in the way when you're trying to ride your bike. You also need something that's going to keep your gear dry so that you have something warm and comfy to slip into at the end of a long day in the saddle.

The Restrap Bikepacking Saddle Bag is a holster style saddle bag that houses a dry bag inside a hard outer sheath. This allows the bag to be easily accessed by simply undoing the magnetic buckle and sliding it out of the sheath. The advantage of this is that you can do all your faffing with your gear off the bike and won't have to worry about your bike falling over while you're rummaging away. Every Restrap product is made by hand in the UK so you can bet that they know a thing or two about how to keep their kit dry.

The bag features 1000D military-grade Cordura fabric and nylon webbing for extra strength. These bags are made to last!

Who's this item for: These bags are a great choice for bikepackers, road tourers, and gravel grinders that want a safe and convenient place to store their gear while out on extended biking adventures.

Things you can carry: You can carry clothing, food, a lightweight tent/fly/bivvy bag etc.

Mounting locations: These bags hang off the underside of your saddle and the rear of your seatpost. The 14L bags require at least 20cm of clearance between the underside of the saddle and the rear wheel, and at least 10cm of exposed seatpost to fit correctly. The 8L bags require at least 15cm of clearance between the underside of the saddle and the rear wheel. See the measurement chart in the images for more info.

Mount Type: A wide Hook and loop strap attaches the bag to the seatpost and two smaller straps with quick-release buckles attach to the saddle rails.

Pros: Allows you to carry a bunch of gear in a way that allows you to ride your bike like a mountain bike, even when you're loaded up with gear.

Cons: Not suitable for small frames that don't have enough clearance between the saddle and the rear wheel. Shorter riders will struggle to have enough clearance to make good use of these bags.
