    Description

    The R stands for Rally, and RaceFace has made this stem to go on bikes that get ridden hard. Designed to keep weight down while keeping stiffness and strength up, the stem is beautifully machined with laser etched logos and doesn't have any sharp edges or exposed bolts to bang your knees on. The zero degree rise makes it easier to set your bar height with the use of stem spacers and the 35mm clamp allows for the use of larger diameter bars.

      Love the no-gap way of mounting

      Coming from a generic stem, this stem does take a bit of getting used to when installing the face plate. But the no-gap top is a great way for me to see if I've done it correctly. Love the shorter stem on the bike. Plus the silver goes well with my bike.

      Beautiful stem with 35mm clamp & longer than 50mm

      I had been riding a 110mm stem since 1986…. (& bars trimmed to 590)

      Old habits die hard in us genx’ers but I finally decided to update my frame/geo & that 110 stem & skinny bars were sketchy as on a slack head tube.

      Time for a shorter stem & wider bars. But I can’t do a 50mm stem it’s just too much of a difference. One up carbon bars seemed the obvious choice as it’s hard to find a bad review & everyone seems to love them. Problem is they only come in 35 mm clamp & trying to find a stem over 50mm length to suit was near impossible. I had all but given up but then MTB direct & Race Face solved my dilemma.

      Happy days! Beautifuly machined race face quality & once I swapped the bolts for titanium it weighs in at a scant 140g. Paired with the one⬆️ bars = my perfect cockpit. Highly recommended!
