Be prepared for unexpected dirt excursions with the Ambush Elbow Guard from RaceFace. Featuring D30 high-performance shock-absorbing foam these pads will feel nice and compliant during normal use but then the magical foam stiffens up under impact to protect your bony bits if the trail tries to jump out at you. The pads are made from perforated neoprene and lined with a terry material for sweat wicking and comfort. The woven elastic top strap allows you to adjust the fit to accommodate your massive/puny biceps.
Who's this item for: These pads are for anyone that feels like they are stepping out of their comfort zone and want something to protect them if things go south. They would be suited to Trail, AM, Enduro, and DH riding.
Protection Style: The pads utilise D30 padding which is a visco-elastic foam. In English, that means that the foam is soft and compliant, but stiffens up under impact to provide a great balance of comfort and protection.
Materials: D30 Protective foam padding, perforated neoprene outer, terry lined for sweat-wicking and comfort.
Closure or Slip-on: These are slip-on pads with an adjustable elastic upper strap.
Length of elbow pad: These pads have a decent length to them and will cover partway down the forearm.
Protection level: Moderate level protection.
Removable protective inserts for washing: The protective inserts aren't removable.
Pros: Comfortable, designed to stay put throughout the ride.
Cons: Only one colour available. No lower strap.
