Description

The GX 2.1 derailleur offers much of the same performance as its more expensive counterparts without the price. With the 2.1 roller bearing clutch, it reduces chain bounce while you ride, meaning less dropped chains and less clanging chain stays. The X-actuation means your shifting is sharp and consistent across the whole cassette and the cage lock makes taking your wheel on and off a breeze.

Who's this item for: The GX derailleur is for any rider using a SRAM 11 speed setup looking for great performance at a reasonable price.

Number of gears: This is an 11 speed derailleur.

Weight: 265gm.

Materials: Features an aluminium cage with steel pulleys.

Chain and cassette compatibility: Compatible with 11 speed chains and SRAM 11 speed cassettes.

Max cassette range: This has a 42T max.

Clutch style: This features SRAM's 2.1 roller bearing clutch for precise shifting without chain bounce.

Cage length: This is a long cage derailleur.

Jockey wheel tooth count (top / bottom): Features SRAM's 12-tooth X-SYNC pulley wheels to reduce chain movement.

Pros: Precise shifting across the range with less chain bounce at an affordable price, whats not to love?

Cons: You do sacrifice a bit of weight for the price.

Value for money, it just works

If you are trying to decide between this GX or the cheaper NX, definitely pick the GX. Its a few more $s, but shifts way more precise. The NX is just sloppy, shifts poorly out of the box, and aint worth the grief it will give you. Get this GX.. its 100% better. Robust enough for an e-bike ’ª
