Description

The most versatile tyre in Pirelli's Enduro tyre lineup, the Scorpion Enduro M tyre is designed to enable you to negotiate a wide range of different terrain types with confidence while travelling at stupidly high speeds.

The Pirelli Scorpion Enduro M provides uncompromising performance in varying conditions over a variety of terrain types. The tyre's design draws on Pirelli's long history of creating tyres for motocross with a stable tyre structure that provides plenty of support for the knobs and excellent mud-shedding qualities in wet conditions.

The tread pattern is optimised to complement the properties of the rubber compound to offer uncompromising performance in variable conditions over differing terrain. The additional "bridges" help support the knobs and improve mud shedding in wet conditions.

Who's this item for: This tyre is designed for Enduro racing but it would also be the perfect choice for any hard-hitting riders looking for a tough and reliable mixed-terrain tyre.

Suggested terrain use: This is a mixed-terrain tyre so it should be a great all-rounder.

Which wheel? This tyre would work well both front and rear. Pirelli particularly recommends it for use as a front tyre, paired up with the Scorpion Enduro R in the rear, but if it's steep and loose where you ride this would be an awesome rear tyre.

Casing: 60 TPI HardWALL casing is designed for maximum structural reliability and support at lower pressures, offering bead to bead protection and a hard rubber insert right above the bead for extra reliability for aggressive riders.

Compound: SmartGrip single compound rubber offers consistent performance in wet and dry conditions, even as the tread starts to wear.

Rim width? The 2.6" tyres are best paired with rims with an internal width of 30mm and greater, but the 2.4" would pair well with anything from around 23mm to 30mm.

Weight:

  • 29" x 2.6: 1140g
  • 27.5" x 2.4: 940g
  • 27.5" x 2.6: 1090g

    Grippy yet slow wearing tyre

I’ve been using Pirelli XC tyres for a couple of years now. It was with optimism that the enduro version would be as good that I put this on my new enduro bike a few months ago.

They ARE as good (as the XC version). No torn knobs, no punctures, low wear, good grip. I’ve ridden this tyre a lot in the dry dust of Stromlo and recently in the wet conditions at Derby in Tassie. The grip in both situations is great. Wet roots, wet rocks, wet mud. Dusty rocks, loose rocks, pointy rocks. The Enduro Scorpion handles all of it.

    Fast and nimble

I was waiting for a schwalbe magic mary in same size (29x2.6) to replace same but needed something urgently. I matched this front tyre with a Pirelli enduro r (rear specific). I suspected it would not be aggressive enough (derby tas for example) but have been pleasantly surprised. Very fast rolling and the curved surface has meant the bike now leans over further and smoother plus changes direction on a dime (very different to magic mary). Infact bike feels sharper and more nimble. I also have to say the pirelli rear specific enduro is best rear tyre i have ever used. It may be a bit light in winter but keen to see.
