Description
The Pearl Izumi Select Barrier Jacket provides superior protection from icy winds and the water-resistant coating will shrug off drizzly rain and spray. The 2-way front zipper allows easy on-the-fly ventilation and reflective elements will help cars to see you in low-light conditions.Who's this item for: This is a great choice to wear or take with you for early morning/late afternoon rides in the cooler months, or whenever you're heading out into some dicey looking weather.
Element Resistance: This is a wind-blocking jacket with a water-resistant coating that will help to shield you from some light precipitation. It's not a fully waterproof jacket.
Fit Type: This jacket uses Pearl Izumi's "standard fit" so it will partially conform to the body.
Materials: 100% polyester
Stuffability: Pearl Izumi don't make any claims about the stuffability but it should fit into a jersey pocket or a hydration pack easy enough when you need to stash it.
Pockets Position and Quantity: There are no pockets on this jacket.
Hood: No hood.
Pros: Lightweight protection against cold wind and spray.
Cons: It's made from quite non-techy materials so don't expect too much in terms of breathability or water resistance. It's not going to like being crashed in or snagged on branches either.
