This style of chain whip has been around the block more than a few times. Sure there are more modern versions of chain whips out there- two handles, vice-grip style, there are all kinds of variations these days. Truth is though, if you just want something that works- go with what you know, and most will be familiar with this. The Park SR-12.2 12 Speed Chain Whip and Sprocket Remover is the same old chain whip you're used to just the most recent version of it.Who's this for: Riders who want a quality chain whip that will last them years.
Cassette compatibility: This chain whip will work on 5-speed freewheels all the way to 12-speed mega cassettes. The 25.4mm (or 1-inch in old speak) box-end wrench fits Park Tool Freewheel / Cassette Lockring Tools.
Materials: The wrench is a heat treated metal to prevent bending or flexing. The majority of that flex-free metal has been covered in a molded handle for grip and comfort.
Pros: Park Tool quality! The chain features hardened pins to help keep the chain in place. Suits 5 to 12-speed cassettes and freewheels.
Cons: It's a bit pricey, but it is Park Tool blue.
