OneUp have found that a lot of 35mm clamp diameter bars on the market, while being really stiff for great control, are just too stiff for comfort.  The 35mm bore allows for the bar to be both stronger and lighter at the same time, but it does create a very stiff bar with a high rate of deflection.  This translates to sore wrists and arms on longer, rougher descents.
To combat this, OneUp have designed a their bars with a different profile and have ovalised the tubing between the 35mm clamp area, and the 22.2mm area for the grips, shifter, brakes etc.
What this ovalisation does, is allows the bar to flex vertically, but laterally and torsionally allows to bar to stay super stiff for predictable and direct steering response.
Basically, it's the strongest, comfiest set of bars you'll ever find.

Who's this for: Riders charging hard who need a stiff bar where it counts, but comfort where it counts more.

Material:  Super custom geometry tubing made from carbon fibres.

Width:  800mm

Sweep:  8 degrees back, and 5 degrees up.

Rise:  20mm and 35mm available.

Markings:  Centre alignment marks for the stem.  Cut marks to tune length.  Markings down from the grips to help align brakes and levers perfectly.

Clamping diameter:  Only available in 35mm

Weight:  20mm rise - 220g.  35mm rise - 225g

Pros:  Stiff where it needs to be, flexy where it needs to be.

Cons: Only available in 35mm clamp.

These are my new go to for all future bikes.
Wrists and forearms are loving the reduction in vibration and shock especially on those brain rattling sections!
Didn't realise just how different the bars felt until I got back on another bike running standard bars.
May not be the suited to those who want an ultra stiff bar, but for my trail and enduro rides these are awesome.

Don’t be grumpy - get these bars

Now I don’t count grams and I’m also the grumpy old guy that always wants to find something wrong with trends, to go against the grain or be the salmon swimming upstream; but these bars are a breath of sunshine. I never thought I’d ‘feel’ the difference which I though was just another marketing ploy. It’s could be vertical compliance, it could be that weird angle away from the stem, or it could be the Canadian maple resin used to bind the fibres but these bars are amazing.

My hands feel grateful for it on the climbs and the descents.

I switched back to some Aluminium deity bars for a bit but came back to these and was blown away.

Do it. Treat yourself. Don’t be a grumpy old fart.

Amazingly comfortable bars.

These bars are awesome. I bought a new bike recently and the stock bar was so stiff it was giving me pain in my elbow from an old fracture. Swapped the bars out and now no more pain. They are worth every cent.

Great set of bars

First time with carbon bars and to be honest I was a little concerned with carbon in general but alas they are still in one piece (and so am I).
They are comfortable and responsive as handlebars should be. Not sure about the greater vertical compliance I hear there is a graph for that.
They look good and pair well with the oneup components stem.

A step above the rest

This bar is definitely a huge step up from alloy bars!!!
I was dubious about the so-called trail dampening this bar proclaims to have but thought why not give it a go. After the first ride, it was evidently clear that it delivers on its promise and I was seriously impressed.
Then you may ask, why only give it 4 stars?, and not 5. Well although I love how the bar performs, I do think it needs to have a bit tougher finish applied - it maybe just me or carbon bars in general but you have to be super careful when adding any components as it scratches very easily. Using carbon paste helped even though oneup say it’s not necessary but there needs to be a heightened level of care used above any of the standard tightening procedures for carbon to not leave scratches etc
All in all the bar is very impressive and you won’t be disappointed with its performance however when it comes to the install you just need to be that little bit more careful.

Unbelievable!

I cannot recommend these highly enough. As a long term rider I was very dubious about the merits of how these bars would reduce trail chatter. They surpassed my highest expecation with ease. They have completely transformed my KTM Prowler. Running Fox 36 forks there has always been a lot of feedback through previous alloy bars especially descending through rock gardens & long rough descents (I ride a lot at Derby for example). These bars have completely eliminated high frequency chatter & the front end suddenly feels massively more stable & much easier to steer through fast technical stuff. 100% elimination of hand/forearm fatigue. I now recommend these bars as effective/compulsory as a seat dropper. I'm not joking.
