OneUp Components Aluminium Pedals
OneUp doesn't cut any corners when they design a new product and their Aluminium Pedals are no exception! The Aluminium Pedals bring together everything you need to make these the best possible pedals for all types of riding. Quality materials, solid construction, good platform size, good pin height. With 4 double sealed cartridge bearings (per pedal) spinning on a Chromoly steel axle these pedals will last you many an adventure.
Who's this item for: Flat pedal riders who are after a seriously great performing top quality pedal.
Dimensions and Weight: The platform measures 115 x 105mm. It's a micro-thin 8.3mm thick at the leading edge and only 12mm at the thickest part of the pedal. The slightly convex profile weighs in at a meager 355-grams.
Bearings: With 4 of them per pedal these double sealed, cartridge bearings will keep your OneUp Aluminium Pedals spinning on, and on, and on, and on, and on... And one day, when they eventually start feeling a bit average the the unique cassette tool lock ring system makes re-greasing the bearings exceptionally fast and easy.
Pin Quantity: 10 per side, 20 per pedal, 40 in total. (MATHS!!) The replaceable pins are 'rear-loading' as well so they are easier to change out in the future.
Materials: The body of the pedal is made from 6061-T6 Aluminium and offered in lots of nice colours. While the axles are made from Chromoly steel.
Pros: Great shape, lightweight, rear-loading- replaceable pedal pins, 4 cartridge bearings per pedal, colour choice!!?!? What's not to love here?
Cons: Some people are after absolutely life altering, crazy tall pin height when it comes to flat pedals. While these have tall (enough) pins, they aren't mega tall pins.

Best overall flats

Outstanding. Prefer these over Vaults - higher grip with the thinner pins. Great shape and comfort. Having tried several flats now, my head tells me I'm much more at home and comfortable on these.
The thin tall pins are weapons though - if they get you, you'll know about it. I'm a big fan of the fox launch pads for that reason.
Good but not super durable

Great pedal. Awesome platform, super grippy and look great.
BUT the durability of the bearings leaves a lot to be desired. They are notchy as now. The fact you can pull them apart is awesome if you have a cassette tool without a pin.
Do not disappoint

I've probably got about 10 rides on these so far, they're well made and look great. Coming off DMR Vault which are very grippy, these have similar grip from the pins but you don't sit in the pedal as much due to the convex shape of the body. I find that makes it a little easier to move your foot around, without sacrificing much outright grip. They are thinner than the Vault so I find they rock strike less despite having a slightly bigger platform. I haven't tried putting them in a crank holder shuttle trailer yet but I suspect there might be issues because of the oversized inboard bearing.

These pedals are really grippy even with runners on (sometimes have to lift my foot to adjust it) however they have already started to get pretty creaky after only about a month of use.

got a new bike with very low BB and I'd been suffering lots of strikes with the pedals I'd been running (Nukeproof horizons and saints). These are much shorter and have significantly reduced the issue, and they're also quite durable, which is great too.
