Description

Business down the centre - party on the sides! The Maxxis Minion Semi Slick is designed for dry conditions and maximum rolling efficiency, tip into a corner though, and the proven minion side lugs claw into the dust and hook up like a boss.

The Minion SS is perfect for those who have to earn their turns and pedal up to the top of their favourite descent. Heavy braking traction is somewhat sacrificed for exceptionally quick rolling speed. However, they do actually brake better than you'd expect.

Team it up with either a Maxxis Minion DHF, Minion DHR 2, or the Highroller 2 on the front.

Features:

- Semi Slick tread, very low profile centre knobs and Minion DHF side knobs.

- Perfect for dry conditions in hard to medium soils.

- Exceptional rolling speed

- Rear specific tread

Please note - Wire bead tyres are sent rolled up to minimise shipping costs. The wires in the beads shouldn't get bent during this process, however, if they arrive with a bend, just bend them back til they are straight. It won't affect the performance of the tyre at all.

    Great Tyre

I used these tyres for years and loved them (a DHF upfront with SS on the rear) but wish they still made them in 26". I have one new tyre left unused but am fearful of using it up to see it go the way of the Tassie Tiger.

Party in the middle, business on the sides

A few others have similar reviews. Corners surprisingly well, but even so it sometimes has you wondering if you're going to pull up in time for the corner in the first place. Generally good enough though and really fun for those who "steer from aft". I have a Schwalbe Rock Razor on atm and it's just a smidge rounder but honestly no significant difference in feel

    Perfection looks like this….

Competitively priced and shipping as quick as a flash means leads time waiting for the postie and more time in the trails! - perfect transaction A+++

Perfect rear rubber for the loose stuff, great rolling and climbing too -

    Cracking rear tyre

    Cracking rear tyre!

I ride mostly trail/tech trail on mostly rock and sandy substrate (Sydney - RNP, Helensburgh, Kentlyn. Bike 2018 Norco Sight carbon 29.

Recently switched from heavier Maxxis Tyres.

Ive really noticed how the tyre spins up nicely, is supper grippy in the corners, and just generally feels nimble.
