    Fantastic Gravel Bike Cages

    After switching from MTB to gravel, I found that most of my bottle cages that did the job well of holding my water bottles securely on the MTB, weren’t up to the task on my gravel bike. A lot of the reason for this is that the gravel bike has no suspension other than its 45mm tyres which causes the bottles to eject on corrugated or rough gravel roads (especially if a cage is mounted under the front tube.

    The design of the Iris Cage means that it clips over the lower portion of a standard shape water bottle, helping to hold it in securely. It does take a bit more effort to get a bottle in and out but that is better than having to go back to retrieve a bottle and have to hope that it hasn’t been damaged and lost its contents (serious problem if you are riding in arid conditions).

    For the weight weenies, while they aren’t as light as titanium, they are still surprisingly light and strong. Very happy with my purchase.
