Got these for my husband and he wouldn’t have any other knee pads. He is a shredder and these protect his knees and stay in one place when he crashes!!
Good all rounder pad.

Heard a lot of good things about these pads and choose to make the purchase. They are super comfy and fit really well. On the long pedals, they are unnoticeable and on the decents, they do not move.
Thanks MTB Direct!
Tough and confidence inspiring but thin rear mesh and weird sizing let them down a bit.

The good: they have a grippy rubber ring that helps them stay up without having to wear the straps too tight. The front material didn’t split on a big rocky slide and protected my whole knee area perfectly. The protection wraps around the sides to protect the boney bits on the side of your knees. The pads are on the firmer side and give me loads of confidence.
The bad: the back mesh is really thin and rips way too easily, I ripped it in the car park on some phantom part of my bike before I’d even got on my bike! Not good enough. Also, these mediums feel like small youth size, I think their sizing is way off as I’ll need a large at least to be comfortable. If you get the chance try them on for size before buying.
Great higher protection level pads.

I bought these to compliment my IXS Flow knee pads for use when I'm doing more Enduro / DH riding. These clearly offer a higher level of protection, but come at the cost of a loss of airflow over the smaller and lighter Flow pads. Although still very comfortable to wear, they are a bit much for general trail riding, but I definitely recommend if Enduro and DH is more your style. They are quite secure with the dual strap system and sticky strip on the inside, but I have noticed when pedalling a lot they can slip down slightly unless the straps are done up tight. Biggest con is the frail stretch netting at the back of the pads - very easily torn by pedals.
Good. Room for improvement.

Good protection. Nearly too warm for summer. On my first ride with them I found that if I have the upper strap fastened at all, the hard (strong) nylon inner stitched seam joining the rear mesh to the front of the pad scratches the back of my knee badly (it removed skin). So I only use the lower straps. But they still work well and have saved my kness in crashes.

Haven't tested them out in anger yet but they feel the goods. Great support and protection, a little warm for summer climbing but still bearable. Not sure the straps will be required for me but are there for insurance.
