Goood product excellent service

Fork feeling like new after this service.

All the right parts for the job and works very well

by -

This kit is exactly what you need for servicing your Fox fork. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the dust wipers need the Fox pressing tool to be installed (and it is expensive). If you bite the bullet and buy one the installation is easy (provided you use a little caution). The fork feels like new again and the investment in the parts and tools has been worthwhile. By watching a number of YouTube videos, and by reading an article in Mountain Biking Australia Magazine I was able to do the service myself. Although I needed to buy the seal pressing tool, I was able to improvise for the damper cartridge removal tool. I used a copper male connector for an air tool instead and it slides over the rebound **** pin perfectly.

They do their job :)

These seals work great if you have the tool and don't shove them in too far (like I did with my first set ), they provide very little stiction and keep out muck remarkably well :). Although, I did snap a tire lever after struggling to remove these seals and found that they needed a little motivation to get to budge due to their solid construction. Anyway, these seals are great as long as you can get them in properly :)

These seal are extremely hard

These seal are extremely hard to get in, I had to buy a second kit as I damaged one trying to install them. If you don't have a seal driver then it will be a challenge. Additionally it is easy to drive them in further than they should go as the new seals don't have a flange. Unfortunately you can't get the older style seals with a flange so the only other option is a third party seal or these if you want to go genuine.

Fox vs Racing Bros, What did the Fox say?

by -

Installed these to replace Racing Bros Red seals. The low stiction on the racing Bros was unbelievable but they leaked onto the stanchions like a bad case of Bali belly. The Fox have a little more stiction and you need to be careful with installation but the stanchions are dry and clean. I dropped 5lb pressure and they felt just as good on the trails as the Racing Bros. Five stars to MBD for excellent service

Smooth

by -

The new seals have improved performance. Very smooth, just a tiny bit of stiction at the start of the stroke but not noticeable on the trail. I found them easy to install with a piloted seal driver and they haven't moved in or out at all. The lack of a ****** doesn't really make a difference except you need to be a bit more careful installing them. I haven't used other brands to compare performance.
