Not for me, couldn’t get them to grip my pedals.

by

Not happy with these.

The good: stylish (could easily wear these around off the bike), can get in and out easily as you only have to release the top two lace loops, seem really tough, good ankle protection, they dry out from wet/sweat pretty quickly.

The bad: just my experience but they squeak against your cranks like rubber ducks, I had nasty heel blisters within 15minutes and paired with my (awesome) nukeproof flat pedals I could not find any grip, close to zero. Tried low pins and super high pins but the tread pattern and super hard rubber felt like ice skates. Sticky rubber out of the box but it’s just some kind of coating that disappeared as soon as they hit dirt. I went back to my ten year old, worn out Teva’s with broken soles and they’re better!

Etnies for the win!

These shoes are great. I'm a size 12 in most Vans shoes and I purchased a 12 in these and they fit well. After the first ride, they stretched out a little which was fine. The shoe has a very sturdy sole and the design supports the ankles really well. The outer material is super tough. Great for MTB and skateboarding too!

Best for gravity

by

Spot on for gravity riding when you spend majority of your time standing on the pedals. Comfortable, good stiffness and nice amount of group , but still able to correct from weird foot positions. Not really grippy enough though for seated trail riding in comparison to 5-10’s.

Excellent shoes

Fantastic riding shoe. Feels nice and solid around your foot, yet remains very light. The sole is the main reason I purchased this model. Not only does it grip to any pedal, but it is very stiff. Dirt jumps, enduro/dh and bmx all see this shoe leaving my foot with almost no fatigue by the end of the day. Highly recommend.

Great value! Maybe order a size bigger though

These shoes grip as well as, if not better than, most other flat shoes I've tried. Had them a month so far, so about 10 rides, and they have hardly worn. Apart from riding great, they are also really good for wearing casually after a ride.
My only gripe is with sizing. I usually wear a US11 so went for this size, and it's just a little bit smaller than I like. Still fits fine, just a little tight.
