E-Thirteen TRS+ Plus Gen 2 Tyre
The E-Thirteen TRS Plus Tyre is engineered to give you the grip you need at high speed, more precisely controlled drifts and exceptional braking.
An already amazing tyre has now been improved upon and re-engineered for 2018 - the generation 2 version is available! The tyre now has a more stable, supportive casing and better puncture protection.
The side knobs are oversized and utilise an angled base to better brace them and prevent them from folding over in high G turns. The siping (little cuts in the middle of the knobs) creates a very smooth transition from straight line to turning and back again. They also aid braking traction. The central knobs are ramped and a lower height. This ensures the TRS's roll super quick. The open pattern of these tyres ensures they will work well in soft and wet conditions without clogging up. They aren't a mud specific tyre, but, if you hit a patch of rain, you can rest easy knowing they aren't going to clog.
The enduro spec sidewall is reinforced and has increased material in the pinch flat zone. The TRS Plus features a folding tubeless ready bead that is specifically designed to lock into the rim. These won't burp under even the highest cornering loads.
TRS tyres come in two sizes, 27.5" x 2.35" weighing 990g and 29" x 2.35" weighing 1033g.
Ratings & Reviews
Heaps of grip and heaps of negatives. Better options exist!
Tyres came OEM on my Norco Sight had them on for nearly a year. swapping out the Race for the Plus on the front using the semi slick E13 on rear.
These are the grippiest tyres made Period.
But you’ll sacrifice everything else for grip!
If that suits you this is your tyre.
They dont roll anywhere near as well as Magic Mary or DHF.
As they wore/aged they rolled slower and slower until i was pedalling my ass off to keep up with riders rolling.
So slow! Pedaling uphill became a even more a chore.
I would also say these dont work well on 30mm or larger internal rims either.
The profile of the tyre was very flat even on the E13 rims they were made to suit.
I experienced a knifing sensation turning on steeper lean angles In loose conditions it was great for grip!
The flat profile makes your bike feel planted yes but negatively unplayful and un-agile and sluggish.
But the grip was always there and so much of it!
Before i replaced em i even tore/ripped some side knobbys off.
One word......AWESOME Seriously just buy one
