Description

E-Thirteen wheels typically come with an XD driver. If you'd prefer to run a standard Shimano HG cassette, or the new Shimano 12 speed Microspline cassettes you'll need one of these freehubs in order to fit the cassette. Also available in an XD Driver if you need to go the other way and run a SRAM cassette.

Who's this for: People with an E-Thirteen rear wheel that want to switch out their freehub body to allow them to fit a cassette with a different mounting standard.

Hub compatibility: This fits all Gen 2 E-Thirteen rear hubs. You can determine what hub you have by checking the end caps. Gen 2 use a press fit end cap, where Gen 1 hubs use a threaded drive side cap. These will not fit Gen 1 hubs.

Cassette compatibility: Available in options to suit Shimano HG, Microspline, and SRAM XD cassettes.

Freewheel type: 3-pawl system to fit E-Thirteen Gen 2 hubs.

What's in the box: Freehub body, 3x pawls, 3x springs, spacers, seal, lockring.

Pros: Great for riders wanting to switch to a different type of cassette on their E-Thirteen hubs.

Cons: Doesn't fit Gen 1 E-Thirteen hubs, or any other hub.

    Easy E13 hub conversion

I bought the Shimano body for my E13 wheels as I wanted to fit a sunrace cassette instead of the E13 cassette (which used an xd body).

Fitting the body on the hub was fairly easy by following e13 instructions found on their website.

I've ridden now about 50ks with it and no dramas to report, feels exactly the same as the previous one.

Really happy with this purchase so far (fair price, efficient product and great service from MTB direct). I recommend to anyone who wants to convert their e13 hubs from sram to Shimano and vice versa.
