Recommended, excellent quality
Have used this now for over a month on a Ford Ranger Wildtrak. It is perfect for what I needed it for, I carry up to 4 bikes all different sizes, with room for a fifth. One thing I have noticed as the tie down straps are either too long or too short. Ebike frame is big, so needed it longer, but the GT, Kona or Gaint bikes, you quickly run out of hook and loop area. Not a big problem to fix. It is great quality, protects the tailgate and bikes well. Quick to install and remove. Note on Ranger wildtrak, due to the roller shutter, XL bikes may not sit in all the way as rear wheel hits where the roller shutter housing. This has nothing to do with the Dakine pad, just something you'll notice.

Great product and great service. More than you can ask for!
I have only had this
by Blacker -
I have only had this product for a fortnight or so but i'm going to give it 5 stars as it has worked flawlessly, very easy to install and uninstall, I usually take it off while we're riding for peace of mind. The tailgate on my amarok has no visible damage so far and i have used it pretty much every day. It is early days I know so only time will tell but the materials seem well stitched and the soft lining hasn't made any rub marks. I just love how quickly you are able to get the bikes on and off, i looked into getting one of these made out of canvas and it was nearly three times the price, absolute bargain!!
I have had the Dakine
by Nick -
I have had the Dakine pad for a couple of months now, and have used it for long and short trips, the straps are easy enough to use also the bike frame straps make things so easy to throw the bikes on, strap in and go, theres nothing else to do great, now for a but on long trips on bumpy dirt road I have found that the pad wears the paint off the forks, not a big deal for me but for someone anal about having a perfect looking bike not so good, I love it and would recommend it
This mat works great! I
by Nevjem -
This mat works great! I was a little worried that the bikes might move around still while attached but they're solid while driving around. It's so much easier finishing a ride and throwing the bike over the tailgate attaching the strap and your right to go. I was a tad worried about the size options as it was mentioned that it was only a small mat. I've got a holden Colorado and it fit over the tailgate perfectly. I would absolutely recommend this to other people
Excellent quality, works a treat
by Mick -
Excellent quality, works a treat and looks pretty cool. Only downside is that it could have better strap attachments such as Plastic Side Release Luggage Strap Belt Clip Buckle for ease of assembly and removal of the three straps instead of threading them all the way through each and every time. Doing this everytime is a bit painful, time consuming which could have been easily prevented, sorry.
