Cane Creek Thudbuster Seat Post
The easiest way to prevent fatigue over the course of a long ride!
If you're out adventure riding or looking for additional comfort for those long rides in the saddle, the Thudbuster is the best choice! Telescoping seatposts are nothing new, but their lack of popularity among adventure riders and touring is due to several factors. The biggest being that they act like pogo sticks and they drastically change your seat height while you're riding. This will only create more fatigue the longer you ride.
Enter the Thudbuster. Designed by Cane Creek, the Thudbuster is the perfect post for any rider looking for additional comfort. The key to its success is how the post absorbs bumps. Rather than acting like a normal shock absorber, the Thudbuster utilises what Cane Creek calls 'Parallel-Linkage Technology.' Reinforced with forged parts and wide bushings, the Thudbuster unique path of travel is the exact opposite of the force applied by riding over a bump. This creates a better cushion and smoother ride.
The Thudbuster for perfect for touring bikes, tandems, city bikes and Adventure riding.

Cane Creek Thudbuster seat post

I didn't want to buy another bike so I thought I'd try this seatpost to give my bum a break on long rides of my hybrid. It's a fantastic addition to the bike. It means less fatigue over the kms. Yet there's no loss of pedaling efficiency because of its design.
Well worth the big price

Happy to recommend this - I have a 29er Hardtail and was getting thrown around badly esp on downhill gravelly corrugations and tiring on rocky tracks. This purchase was a punt to save me going back to Dual Suspension. I find a huge improvement in smoothing out the ride, without being noticeable or intrusive. Saved me updating the bike
