Nifty and comfy pack
by Mark Johnston
This is a great light-weight hydro-pack - used by my 13 year old son. Light and comfortable. Not very spacious of course compared to bigger packs. But because it has some stretch compartments my son can carry (with some clever packing) a light rain-jacket, chin bar for a Giro Switchblade helmet, tube, tool, half a bag of snakes and muesli bar

Very happy with my Chase Vest.
Ticked the boxes- light, functional ( access to front pockets while riding) and comfortable.
practical and convenient for shorter rides

use the chase vest for 1-3 hour rides in morning and afternoons also for runs and bush hikes, can now lose the water bottle and the seat bag full of tools and carry everything i need in the vest. carry spare tube and first aid stuff in the back pocket , phone on front right and levers, pump and tool kit in left side, fit is body hugging with no sideways or vertical movement when riding and after a few minutes just forget it is even on. there is a minor buildup of heat under the vest but nothing excessive or as bad as a full backpack. only issue is fitting the bladder which is secured to the pack by a loop which you have to have your tongue just right to get it over the bladder hook. overall very happy with the vests ability to hold all my stuff comfortably and stable when riding

Great alternative to a full size pack, the front pockets are so good. the LHS is big enough for a large phone I.e 7+ and the other front pocket is ok for a wallet and car keys. It doesn't move around at all, and its nice not having a pack on your lower back in hot weather. It has little insulation between the bladder and your back which has pro's and cons. Anyway great pack for smaller rides and still plenty of room for some tools and a small pump in the internal pockets.
Great pack for purpose.

I have used this twice now (once training and once racing). It's awesome for a low volume pack.
Plenty of room for essentials and enough water to get you over the line. You'll forget you're wearing it, but will realise how handy it is if you have a problem on the trail. Lots of pockets.
Not sure if I'd use it in an XC race again. Then again, if I had to pick a pack to race with....
Great mtb camelbak

An excellent camelbak for Riding. Stays on back when jumping rather than moving up. Holds gels etc in front for easy access. Plenty of small pockets for phone, tools etc.
