The Prime 9 chain also benefits from chamfered edges, solid pins and solid plates to keep things durable.

Who's this item for: Any riders running a Box Two 9 speed drivetrain but will suit riders with any BOX prime 9-speed drivetrain.

Number of gears: Suitable for use with Prime 9 wide range 9-speed drivetrains.

Number of links: 126 links in this chain.

Weight: 350g

Quick joining link: Yes, a quick link comes included with the chain.

Materials / construction: Constructed from hardened alloy steel with a nickel-plated finish. Both the pins and inner/outer plates are solid hardened steel construction.

Great value for money

Box Prime 2 chain? I've never heard of them before but took a chance for a chain that needs a bit more length than a standard 114 or 116 link chain. Fortunately the Box Prime folks thought about that and for the sake of saving a miserly amount of chain they have you covered for whatever drive train you use.
The chain itself is better quality than what the price shows and preliminary chain inspection shows close tolerances and what appears to be a nickel plating, meaning a small improvement in wear abrasion. At the time of writing this chain has done over 900k along equal time on dry and wet dirt trails, some mud and commuting duties on both dry and wet roads. It has been cleaned and oiled regularly and still has not worn to .5mm on a Park tool chain checker. This may easily see more than the original Shimano hg53 chain
