Genuine Avid brake pads for 2011 or newer Code brakes. This includes the new SRAM CODE R, RSC, and Guide RE brakes. Available in Organic and metallic compounds.   

Sintered/Metallic:                                                                                                                              Pros

  • Less fade at higher temperatures.
  • Perform better in wet conditions.
  • Longer lasting.
  • Better for heavier riders and sustained braking.

Cons

  • Reduced initial bite (compared to resin)
  • Tend to be a bit noisier

Resin/Organic:
Pros

  • Quiet.
  • Better initial bite.

Cons

  • Tend to wear out faster.
  • Reduced performance in wet conditions.

They last well at Maydena

I use these at Maydena on my DH bike with my Code RSC’s and they hold up well. It is pretty muddy up there now in the late season. They make my bike stop. I get a decent number of days riding out of a set.

Instant Bite!

Fried a set of brake pads at Thredbo over Easter and bought these in replacement. Actually forgot how good brand new brakes pads can be. Very quick to bed in, instant bite and super powerful. Going to now switch the front pads to match these.

Tried some cheap ones and quickly put these back in
